How to Choose a First Aid Course First Class First Aid

There are a few considerations to take into effect when selecting which course will be suit your needs, we’ve simplified some points you need to take into consideration:

  • Your group size. Most companies will offer a different rate if you book in a group, so if you’re planning on going somewhere or doing something specific to a group – you should see if any friends are interested in coming too.
  • Your needs – pick a company that has instructors with experience in the area you are wanting to learn about. For example, if a provider advertises that they’re a motorbike specific course, they likely have experience in road based injuries.
  • Your time – look into what content is covered in the practical component of the course. Businesses are advertising short practical components, but this is arguably one of the most essential parts of the course given that first aid is a practical skill. Don’t rush your training for the benefit of an early finish when it may genuinely be the difference from you saving your choking child or collapsed colleague. Most courses are enhanced with online learning which is a wonderful tool, but ensuring your have the practical skills application nailed by the end of your lesson is essential!

If you approach an organisation about completing one of their courses and they won’t address the above points – then look around for an answer you’re happy with. First Aid is so important for everybody to know, with the right training and tools it could be the reason you save a life.
